It was my 21st Birthday on August 9th, 2013 and was so excited and happy! It's scary to grow up but its apart of life. I hope that anyone and everyone celebrates their birthdays no matter what! Its an important time and you should celebrate the life you have with the people who love you the most. I felt so blessed, all the love I gave year round came back to me 10 fold!

My Inauguration Experience

On this past Monday January 21st, 2013 which was Martin Luther King day I went to the inauguration for President Barack Obama! My college Hampton University, located in Hampton, Virginia, is three hours away from Washington DC so it was no reason why I couldn't attend such a historic event. One million people came from states away or countries away to see President Obama sworn in for his second term! Even my best friend Charles came from his college in Missouri to see President Obama. I attended the inauguration with my three friends, Krista, Keyla, and Josh. We stood in line five hours in then freezing cold to catch the parade and to be able to say we were apart of this amazing day! We may not have had tickets but we still enjoyed ourselves. For the first semester of my Junior year at Hampton I volunteered on the Barack Obama re-election campaign and to able to see something from beginning to end with the end result being my choice for President elected, makes me feel great on inside. I was apart of history with my vote and volunteering. The first time I saw Obama was when he accepted his presidency four years ago in Chicago,Illinois and I shared that experience with my daddy who cried because for him he never thought he lived to see the day a black man as President. While at the inauguration I felt I represented my ancestors who lived through the racism and hatred towards blacks, there struggle for equality was not in vain, victory is what my ancestors see now! I love what my President stands for and what his administration is doing (Go Joe Biden lol)! It was a honor to see a deserving man and his family walk the streets of Washington proud to serve their country!

Rihanna's new album "Unapologetic"

Rihanna has recently finished her 7th studio album and is very pleased with it. She has released her track list and a very familiar name is on one of her songs and you guessed right its none other then her controversial ex Chris Brown. They collaborated of the song "Nobodies Business" seems to me that thats what they want fans and spectators to understand about there rekindled friendship, what happens between them is nobodies business. The song is great though love the beat and the vibe and I look forward to hearing Rihanna's new album. Here is a teaser of the song. Enjoy!

Lipstick Review

Like two weeks ago I purchased some MAC lipstick for the first time. I must say I see why so many women use MAC lipstick, it's worth the money. I bought two dark lip colors because its fall and I wanted a purple color since purple is my favorite color and I wanted a deep rich red color. I got Menda and Cyber. I love them, the colors don't fade and they last all day! Great investment, the lipsticks are 15 dollars a piece a little pricy but worth it!

I voted on Tues. November 6th, 2012 for the first time and I was excited I voted for Barack Obama and Joe Biden! Im so happy my President won. I even was fortunate to meet the First Lady Michelle Obama Friday November 2nd, 2012 at my school Hampton University! Michelle shook my left hand, I felt so honored and blessed to be in her presence, that I cried! :)

Let talk about Ombre baby!

Like so many young women,  have become a fan of ombre colored hair. For those of you who do not know what ombre is, the word means "shaded" in french, but in fashion it is the combination of colors from light to dark or a transition of color. Now with that being said I decided to give my own spin on the ombre affect. I used two bundles of Brazilian wavy virgin hair that I paid 150 for! Then I had my friend dye the tips of the weave pink, red, and purple. And here is the end result I hope everyone likes it!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

So yesterday, Nov. 8th, 2012 (10:00-11:00pm,ET/PT) was the annual Victoria Secrets Fashion Secret. The air date for the fashion show is Dec. 4th 2012 . Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars and Rihanna performed along with Grammy nominated artist Justin Bieber. 

Victoria's Secret Angels Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, and many other Supermodels will star in this lingerie runway show. 

This Special will include pink carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at te making of the world's most beloved fashion show. A statement from Victoria Secrets said the runway looks will include over-the-top lingerie embellished with Swarovski elements, as well as iconic Angel wings. So tune in Dec 4th and check out the show!
